The finished hairpiece tends to be a little lighter in weight than those made with stock hair.

The end product is the most natural looking---you lool like you.

There is an added sense of comfort, and a reduced sense of loss,  by having your own hair to wear.

The hair from your head, is the best quality, and will outlast any other type of hair.

Why a Hip Hat is more comfortable than a full wig:

A Hip Hat takes only 1 week to make.

A Hip Hat costs much less than a full wig.

A Hip Hat takes only ONE hair donation.

The end product looks similiar, except of course that it's made with YOUR hair. There are many advantages to getting a Hip Hat made with your hair:

Yes! Oftentimes several people want to help by donating their hair too. We'll blend it in. (the hair should be a similiar color and curl.)  It is often very helpful to have more than one hair donation to make a full hairpiece.

If needed, we will add in human hair to match your hair to make a nice, full hairpiece.

There is no requirement for length, however, a minimum of 8" is recommended. Shorter pieces can be used for bangs.

All Hip Hat styles made with YOUR hair is $289, plus shipping. (Add $16 to Underhair WITH BANGS.) Hip Hats made with YOUR own hair is priced differently than products made with our stock hair. It is based on labor, rather than materials.

Hip Hats are made right here in Tampa, FL.  Full wigs are mostly made overseas and take a few months to make.  

A full wig requires several hair donations, but a Hip Hat can be made with hair from only one donor.. 

A custom-made wig costs thousands of dollars to make. It's not usually a viable solution for temporary hair loss.

Full wigs require the use of foundation materials, which are often uncomfortable. A Hip Hat made with your own hair, is made with soft fabric only.

We specialize only in hats with hair as an alternative to a full
wig. That's because wigs are notoriously hot and itchy--even expensive, custom-made wigs are known to be uncomfortable.
