Human Hair is the softest.




Most of our customers find a perfect color match. Some colors are hard to find in human hair, such as ash tones.



Human hair requires some work to style, after each washing. Just like ... human hair!



Remy human hair tangles less than non-cuticle hair, however it will tangle a wee bit more than virgin human hair.



Hip Hat customers report that the hair lasts from 8 months to 3 years. Longevity depends on how well it is cared for, and how often it is worn and washed. Darker colors last the longest because it is the least processed. Also, the 12" length lasts longer than the 18" length.

Often it comes back even better than what you gave as we add quality human hair to make it full.

Again, what you give us is what you get back
We do not dye hair but you can get it colored after it's made if desired. Also, if you have an unusual hair color, this is a great way to go.

Style your hair just as you did before. We recommend using shampoos without protein.



However you hair behaved before is how it will behave in a Hip Hat. In general any item made with yiour hair or "donated" hair is the nicest way to go.



If the hair you send us is in good shape it will last many many years. The fabrics will wear before the hair does, even if your hair was colored.

Just looking at it, you can't tell the difference between the human hair and the AFH. We often get confused in the shop! And, it does NOT have that fakey shiney look.


It feels silky, but it lacks the elasticity and softness of human hair.



There are some additional colors in the AFH line that is not available in human hair, such as platinum, beigy-blondes, or ash blondes.


Initial stying takes more time to do than human hair, But once you style this hair, you don't ever have to style it again--unless you want to change the style.


AFH hair tends to tangle a bit more than the human hair. However, it can be kept  tangle-free with spray in laminators.  Put the hair into a loose ponytail or braids for swimming or lots of activity.


AHF hair can last a very long time because it can be restored. If the hair starts to get tangled or "bent" looking,  dip the hair into very hot water and pull it out straight.  It's like starting over.
